Manifest Your Dreams Through Inspired Action
Okay, so we’re visualizing. We’re journaling. And we’re getting really clear on our intention to reach a specific goal in our lives. But here’s the thing. A LOT of people want those things, and yet, not everyone has them. So, what’s the difference between two people who are have the same intentions, but one of them isn’t succeeding at attaining the goal? The difference is to Manifest Your Dreams Through Inspired Action.
What is the Law of Action?
The law of action is a universal law that works in unison with the law of attraction. We’ve talked about how the laws of the universe apply to positive thinking and manifesting our dreams before. Many times, we think we can just put our intentions out into the universe through visualization, journaling, or meditation, and then we can just lie on the couch and expect the universe to deliver.
This is a common misconception about the law of attraction, because the law of action must also be applied. The Law of action states that you must do the things and perform the actions necessary to achieve what you are setting out to do.
Action vs. Inspired Action
But we aren’t just talking about any action. We aren’t actually even talking about hustling or grinding or hard work. We are talking about this idea of INSPIRED action. As we write in our gratitude journals about attaining our future goals, which you can read more about here, our brain will start to think thoughts that align to the new story you’re writing about. And this is because it begins to prepare you for this future that you’ve been saying you’re already grateful for.
Your brain will start to come up with new ideas that align to that story. Therefore, if you’re writing that you are so thankful for a new job opportunity, an idea might pop into your head. “Hmm I wonder if Becky thinks she can help me out with a job.” Or maybe you’re surfing LinkedIn and you realize that someone you know does something similar to what you want to do.
Intuitive Hits are Signs From God or The Universe
This is what is called an intuitive hit. An intuitive hit is exactly what we’ve been talking about – an idea to take action that will help you get closer to this new story you’ve been telling. And an intuitive hit is how the universe or God is helping you to manifest the thing that you want. But the thing is, you must then take ACTION on that intuitive hit. And that’s where the law of action comes into play.
You’re probably thinking now, well this sounds easy. I just wait for signs and then I follow them. But there’s a small hiccup. So many times we get stuck on this part. That’s because the action can sometimes feel uncomfortable. It’s something that typically takes us way out of our comfort zone, which our brain hates. We’ve talked about how our brains try to keep us safe and out of the unknown. This is the main reason so many of us get stuck. We don’t follow these intuitive hits because we don’t want to leave our comfort zones.
Manifest Your Dreams Through Inspired Action: How I Manifested Blog Sponsors with Intuitive Hits
I want to give you an example of this and how it manifested in my business. As you know, since you’re here, I design custom and digital party decorations for all of your events. When I create a new party theme, I post about it every other week right here on atouchofla.com.
However, photographing party blogs can get really pricey if I’m the only one funding the project. So ideally, I’m always looking to work with sponsors to help me highlight how the party theme. For example, favors that coordinate with the party, other party decorations, and food and drinks item that would make that party theme really come to life.
You’re probably familiar with the practice of how bloggers and influencers receive free items from brand in exchange for their reviews and exposure on their social media and websites. But as you can imagine, for someone who has a smaller following, it can be hard to convince the kinds of brands I’m interested in, to provide those items to me. So obvee this is the kind of thing I would write about in my gratitude journal for my business.
A Great Example of an Intuitive Hit
Over the holidays, I created a really fun party theme – A Favorite Things Christmas Party that I planned to photograph and display on my blog.
However, I knew it was going to be pricey to put it all together. As I was driving my daughter to school one morning, I had this flash of an idea. I pictured having the opportunity to partner with a few smaller brands to help make the party come to life.
Now there was the inspired idea. It was an intuitive hit.
Action is often uncomfortable
Of course the first step would be to reach out to those brands and see if they would work with me. This is when my brain kicked into gear to let me know that this was way out of my comfort zone and it didn’t feel “safe”. I could hear the counter arguments in my head starting to take over. “I don’t have many followers on Instagram”, and “who am I to be asking brands for this kind of thing?”.
But I have taught myself over the years that the worst that people can say is no. And the good part? No one has to know. The only people that know that I “failed” are me and the brand. So I figured, why the heck not?!
Therefore, I reached out to a really great custom cookie maker, Stone House Oven on Etsy, and told them about my idea. At first, I am sure they were a little skeptical, as anyone would be. But eventually they agreed!
I also had been following this super sweet party designer on Instagram named Tara. She runs One stylish Party and she just so happened to be releasing a new product that I could feature in my blog, this DIY streamer backdrop.
Long story long? Because I listened to my intuition and didn’t cower at the idea that I could be rejected, I was rewarded by manifesting a totally awesome and fun photoshoot. Most importantly, it was really rewarding to actually see a manifestation come through from beginning to end in just a few weeks time.
Manifest Your Dreams Through Inspired Action – You Can Do it Too!
I realize you might not be trying to manifest blog sponsors or free products. But maybe your looking for a new relationship, a new opportunity, a house, whatever it is. Remember the first step is to set an intention. Once you set that intention, either through journaling or visualization, go about your day looking for clues that your intention is manifesting. Remember that there are absolutely no coincidences. Every time you hear about, or see something that somewhat aligns with that goal you are looking to achieve, it’s the Universe or God giving you those little hints. Follow those hints in order to Manifest Your Dreams Through Inspired Action.
It sounds so simple. And yet, if it were, we would all have manifested it all, right?
Once you start to see these actions become manifestations, just as I did, you start to see that you are the creator in your life. Even if it’s a small thing, you suddenly realize what you are capable of and what you can manifest. What were once miracles, are now are now everyday occurrences.
